Because I want to love what I’m doing so much, that I don’t need to check Facebook every half an hour to distract myself. Because when someone asks me “how is work?”, I want to have to take a moment to work out what “work” is. Because I don’t want to be one of those people that endlessly complains about their job and does nothing about it. Because if something isn’t worth doing properly, it’s not worth doing at all. Because I want to have something to show for every second, minute, hour of effort that I’ve expended. Because if I’m working hard at something, I’m probably enjoying it.
I’m not there yet. But that just makes me work harder.
